Smash Recreation Center was founded by Jason and Sidney Wilcox, a husband-and-wife team and longtime members of the Teton Valley community with a deep appreciation for sports, recreation, and community involvement.

Inspired by their son Tripp’s passion for athletics, especially baseball, Jason and Sidney recognized the need for a year-round indoor training facility that could support local athletes through Idaho’s long winter months. What began as an idea quickly developed into a mission to create a welcoming space where athletes of all ages can continue building their skills without seasonal limitations.

For the Wilcox family, Smash represents more than a business venture. It is a long-term investment in the community they call home and a place where families, teams, and individuals can come together through sports, fitness, and recreation
